Experience Technology and Shape the Future: Successful Girls’Day at NETZSCH in Waldkraiburg
Experience technology, create opportunities and shape the future together! Experience technology, develop prospects and shape the future together! This was the Girls’Day motto at NETZSCH Pumps & Systems in Waldkraiburg. Eight female students of the region immersed themselves in the world of technology for one day. They got an idea of the training opportunities at the global specialist in handling complex media.
The participants were interested and enthusiastic about everything from IT to development and assembly. They tried out three apprenticeships and experienced firsthand how exciting technology can be.
Insights into the professional world at NETZSCH

Jobs at NETZSCH Pumps & Systems
The day started with a welcome and reception on the NETZSCH Campus in Waldkraiburg. During the subsequent company presentation by second-year apprentices, the participants were given a first impression of the engineering company. After a short safety briefing, a factory tour of the various areas on the NETZSCH Campus began. Afterwards, the female students could try multiple tasks in the different departments and show their talent. “It is important to us to show young people at an early stage how diverse and exciting technical professions can be. The Girls’Day offers the perfect platform for this”, says Christina Stanka, who coordinates the training at NETZSCH and organised the day.
First steps in exciting apprenticeships

In the practical part of Girls’Day, the participants could immerse themselves directly in technical professions. They gained exciting insights into the apprenticeships for IT specialists, technical product designers and industrial mechanics. Under the guidance of apprentices and with the support of the trainers, they got to know the IT processes, tried their hand at construction and the creation of technical drawings, and assembled small mechanical units. This gave the students a taste of what they could expect in a possible apprenticeship at NETZSCH.
All participants and supervisors met for lunch at Café & Restaurant FELIX. In a relaxed atmosphere, the day’s experiences were discussed, and questions were answered. “Overall, it was a successful day. The students were very interested and curious. Maybe we will see one of them again in a few years as apprentices at NETZSCH,” said Stanka happily.
